Thank you for your interest in my services as a speaker, officiant, and/or Master of Ceremonies. After
over 40 years of serving in ministry, as well as being a principal mover in the establishment of a local Toastmasters International
group, and assisting many young couples in making the transition from single life to wedded bliss, I hope to be able to fulfill
your expectation. My primary interest is to meet your need for your occasion. I do not come to
an event with my own agenda for how it should go, what should be done, or even considering what others think should be done.
For example, when assisting a young couple in wedding arrangements, my focus is on what the couple wants,
not on the parent's expectations (which are sometimes unreasonable and more often than not, in conflict with how
a bride and groom want their service to proceed). There is wisdom in negotiating those issues so peace will prevail and the
bride's expectations are met. So the questions are: - How can

Some Information to Assist You
|
|
Ministry for Grief & Loss exists to provide a professional level of service
in the spiritual and emotional management of grief and loss. I am also happy to meet with your family or group,
to assist in honoring your recently-deceased loved one, give advice about your own plans, facilitate a meeting with your company
or group, or give a professional and customized presentation to your group or company.
With over 40 years of ministry
in the background, I can assist with professional and licensed (where necessary) wedding arrangements. I require that all
requests for marriage be accompanied with a personal meeting with the engaged couple to determine whether I am the best person
for your expected results. Of course, such personal meetings are at no cost, unless there is some stipulated travel expense
(for which you will be responsible). I am happy to meet your need according to our available
time and schedule. Although I am located in North San Bernardino (below Lake Arrowhead, near the San Manuel Casino
and Resort), I am al in different areas of Southern California, most of the time. Given sufficient notice (usually minimum
6 months lead time), I can schedule your event in other areas of the country, too. I have binding riders for Local and
Non-Local presentations/appearances available to assist you in understanding what I expect of you, so that your event
will be exactly what you want it to be. Remuneration
- While Ministry for Grief & Loss does not make a specific charge
for services, we accept honorariums, customary in the funeral industry. If you have a question about what is an appropriate
honorarium, we will be happy to give you the range of contributions provided by former clients.
- Remuneration
for speaking events and other presentations is stipulated in advance. I will be happy to discuss the matter with you. As seen
in the Local Rider and Non-Local Rider, we wil submit receipts for travel or other expense items for required reimbursement.
We are always happy to discuss any anticipated charges before you make any commitment to us.
- Our Local and
Non-Local riders outline specific costs that may be incurred by the client for any scheduled presentation/appearance(s).
- Other
than these costs, we request that you consider the time and effort expended to meet your need and that any honorarium or remunerative
offering be consistent with the level of professional service we cheerfully provide.
In some
cases, such as for public presentations, I can work with your organization to establish reasonable registration fees that
will cover any agreed honorarium and/or remunerative offering, as well as provide a reasonable offset of your client expenses.
This is an excellent way for your costs to be covered, while still providing an excellent level of service to those you want
to serve. One More Thing While Ministry for
Grief and Loss provides suitable handouts and other materials at no cost, larger venues or certain types of large group
presentations require reasonable charges for materials which may be distributed to participants/attendees. I will be
pleased to specify in advance what these costs will be and will work with you or your organization to insure that the lowest
possible cost is incurred by your organization or its constituency.
